If you’re a fan of cooking competition shows and a hungry carnivore, you’ll want to head to Chelsea Market today for NYChiliFest 2014, where chefs are given 100 percent dry-aged, locally raised beef from Dickson’s Farmstand Meats to create the best chili they can concoct. More than 20 local eateries, including Cannibal, Jeepney, La Palapa, Pies-n-Thighs and the aptly named Spices and Tease, are participating. Come hungry: $50 gets you unlimited chili, and $5 gets you a Samuel Adams beer as well. Ticket sales supportFood Systems Network NYC, which works toward “universal access to nourishing, affordable food.”
