Skyscrapers are designed to take our breath away, but according to the exhibit “Sky High: the Logic of Luxury” at the Skyscraper Museum, there’s “simple math” behind their existence. Today, in addition to the exhibit, you can join a family-friendly scavenger hunt that will teach you how these behemoths we live among are created. Kids can make postcards with illustrations of their favorite towers.
Skyscraper Museum, 39 Battery Place, 212-945-6324, 10:30 a.m. $5, $2.50 for students and seniors, free for members, register by Jan. 24 at 5 p.m.
