Bill O'Reilly erroneously kvetched on his show The O'Reilly Factor earlier this week, in conversation with James Carville, that "no Republicans and no conservatives were invited" to attend the "Let Freedom Ring" event at the Lincoln Memorial commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Well, Mr. O'Reilly was wrong, and—in a move that may be rarer than this month's blue moon—he admitted as much on national television yesterday. "The mistake? entirely on me," Mr. O'Reilly said, going on to add: "Always check out the facts before you've made a definitive statement." (Media Matters/MSNBC)
