Richard Bona.
Before he sets out on tour to promote his new album, Bonafied, singer, songwriter and bassist Richard Bona plays at SubCulture with his Afro-Cuban band, Mandekan Cubano. Born in Cameroon, many consider Bona to be one of the most talented jazz bass players today. It’s a multi-culti night: Bona’s tunes have the African rhythms of his childhood mixed with cool riffs from Paris, where he once lived, plus very New York urban lyrics.
