Clik here to view.AP political reporter Kasie Hunt is going to NBC News, where she will join the Washington, D.C., bureau as an off-air reporter/producer covering politics.
"She will leverage her considerable experience on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail to contribute editorially across the network’s many platforms," NBC News announced today.
Ms. Hunt comes has been a national political reporter at the Associated Press since August 2011. Ms. Hunt, who began covering the Republican primary field during the presidential election, went on the road with the Mitt Romney campaign December 2011 through election day.
Before going over to the AP, Ms. Hunt covered the 2010 midterm elections and the beginning of the GOP presidential primary race for Politico.
But Ms. Hunt's move back to NBC News is a homecoming of sorts--she began her career as an intern for NBC News.
Ms. Hunt is not the first AP political reporter to defect from the news service this year. Last fall, Beth Fouhy left for Yahoo! News, where she is now a senior politics and national coverage editor.
