Love to cook but don’t have anyone to feed? Eager to concoct a new recipe for the new year? Enter the Sixth Annual Cassoulet Cook-Off, where professional and amateur chefs eat and compete. Your entry gets you samples of more than 10 of the classic French casseroles and one beer, wine or cider. Proceeds go to Grow NYC Greenmarket programs. While local restaurants will be entering their concoctions, home cooks take note: Last year’s winner, Long Island amateur chef Laura Luciano of Out East Foodie, used duck leg confit, braised pork butt, sausage and cognac.
