Math and word nerds, it’s time to unite for Dimensions: the MoMath Puzzle Hunt, part of the Museum of Mathematics one-year anniversary celebration. This year’s event, featuring work by puzzle writers from across the United States, is “a multilayered tribute to the brilliant mathematician and war hero Alan Turing, who was instrumental in breaking enemy codes during World War II.” Teams of three to five people are recommended, but if you’re alone in your math genius, show up and get paired with a fellow brainiac to solve word and logic puzzles and secret codes. Recommend for high school students and adults. Novice puzzlers welcome.
National Museum of Mathematics, 11 East 26th Street, 212-542-0566, 3:30 p.m. (registration at 3 p.m.), $30
