Oh lordy. It's been awhile since we've had a Fox News segment as glorious as last night's The Kelly Files, which took Slate's Aisha Harris to task for claiming that Santa doesn't have to be a white man. "For all you kids watching at home, Santa just IS white," Ms. Kelly seethed emphatically, as if she was talking about a real person and not arguing about make-believe.
"But this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black santa. But you know, Santa is what he is, and just so you know, we're just debating this because someone wrote about it, kids." Haha, right. JUST TO BE CLEAR! This isn't a real thing, we're just arguing about it because someone wrote about it. Very good description of Fox News, in general.
This should be very confusing for the kids who just learned that Santa isn't real, but he definitely IS a Caucasian male. He just IS.
Someone call the Muppets, Fox News is on the pretend warpath again!
