I am not sure why John Wesley Harding changed his name to Wesley Stace, but I am sure that his Cabinet of Wonders variety show, which features a rotating cast of performers, is a great idea. Joining him tonight as he supports his new album, Self-Titled (Yep Roc Records), and recorded for NPR will be quite the mix of performers: chef and Chopped host Ted Allen, Bill Janowitz of Buffalo Tom, Peter Matthew Bauer of The Walkmen, writer Beth Lisick, comedian Eugene Mirman, The Ice Storm author Rick Moody, Nina Persson of The Cardigans and singer-songwriter Jim White.
