To Do Sunday: Table to Farm

Marlow and Sons_flickr user_garysoupWilliamsburg is the land of tattooed skin and artisanal food. The nexus for these elements is Marlow & Sons, a restaurant and food shop that might as well open up a tattoo parlor in the back to accommodate all its inked customers. M&S is hosting a benefit to raise money for Cayuga Pure Organics, a small farm near Ithaca, N.Y., that grows organic, non-GMO dry beans and grains, many of the coveted heirloom variety. And no Billyburg hipster would ever dream of eating a non-organic anything! Last May, a fire raged through the barn and destroyed much of Cayuga Pure Organics’ cleaning and packaging equipment and inventory. So nibble sausages, peppers and corn, slurp homemade snow cones in odd flavors and chug draft beer at the “Marlow Summer Fair,” while raising money to help rebuild the farm.

Parking lot across from Marlow & Sons, Berry Street and Broadway. (718) 384-1441, 6-10pm, $30
