Beasts of the Southern Wild.
If you missed the Oscar-nominated film Beasts of the Southern Wild (about a headstrong 6-year-old girl in a surreal and beaten-down bayou community), you can see it outdoors on a double bill with a performance by New York native Kamsha, a singer/songwriter who melds the island music of her Caribbean roots with pop, rock and dance beats to create her own uniquely beat-driven sound.
West Harlem Pier Park, Hudson River Greenway, 7:30-10pm, free.
