The New York Youth Symphony’s Spring Concert features handsome, dark-haired bass-baritone Evan Hughes, a Roy and Shirley Durst Debut Artist, performing the world premiere of a NYYS First Music commission by composer John Glover. Music Director Joshua Gersen has put together a program that includes Beethoven: Overture to “The Creatures of Prometheus, Op. 43,” Glover’s “Natural Systems” and Mahler: Symphony No. 1 in D major, “Titan.”
