If you’re in Manhattan for Easter and feeling too old to hunt for marshmallow Peeps or dyed eggs, hit the delicious Easter Breakfast Buffet at Café Carlyle with omelet and carving stations and lots of other tasty treats like sugary holiday muffins and apple tarte tatin. The scene verges on the non-punk blue-tinted-hair ladies who lunch, but this buffet is the best deal in town and a far cry from the grubby all-you-can-eat Las Vegas 24-hour cafeterias. Fanny packs are frowned upon, even if they are Prada, so bust out the Chanel.
Café Carlyle, 35 East 76th Street, (212) 744-1600, 8am-1:30pm, $45 per person.
